Aliikai

A wooden phinisi liveaboard exploring exotic eastern Indonesian islands in spacious, private comfort.

Overview

Offering both small group and private charter cruises for up to 15 guests, Aliikai is a 131-foot wooden phinisi liveaboard built in South Sulawesi. This majestic vessel offers wonderful, customized adventures for couples and families seeking to explore Indonesia’s astonishing diversity of nature, wildlife, and scenery both above and below the water.

Life On Board

Aboard Aliikai, you will find seven generously sized cabins spread over three decks, a choice of indoor and outdoor living and dining areas, as well as a dive center with diving equipment, Nitrox, snorkeling gear, and a camera/photography station. The social hub of the boat is the spacious lounge, bar, and indoor dining area, which extends onto the main front deck offering alfresco dining.

There is also a vast 60-square-meter sky deck, which is the perfect spot for sunbathing or stargazing, a relaxation sundeck at the stern, and a dedicated ‘zen’ area on the roof designed for yoga practice and meditation. Other facilities include audio and video equipment, two kayaks, two standup paddle boards, a wakeboard, two speedboats, and some beach games.

From the kitchen galley, the on-board chef will keep you well-fed with delicious, freshly cooked local and Western dishes served buffet style in the dining area. You will also have the option of dining alfresco on the main deck against the glorious backdrop of islands and volcanoes. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated, and snacks and beverages are available all day long.

As a fitting tribute to Aliikai’s immersive cultural voyages, the vessel is tastefully adorned with carefully selected items collected from previous voyages and the region’s rich history.

The Experience

A dedicated crew of 12, together with an expedition leader, will cater to all your needs, creating remarkable experiences and lifelong memories as you journey through the breathtaking beauty of the Indonesian archipelago in comfort and style. The team will ensure that you and your family and friends are well-looked after, not only on board and on land, but also on and under the water.

Encounter Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. Explore the historical and magical spice islands, hike at sunrise to dazzling viewpoints, take the kayaks or paddle boards, and go bird watching.

Climb volcanoes, swim with giant manta rays, dive or snorkel through the underwater kingdoms of Raja Ampat and the Flores Sea, or witness the hammerhead shark migration in the Banda Sea. Yours to command, Aliikai will take you on a journey to the rarely-seen marvels of the vast and wild Indonesian archipelago.

This is much more than just a cruise; it is a supreme experience that will fully immerse you in glorious nature and culture.
