Aqua Blu
Overview
A former British Naval Explorer, Aqua Blu is a luxurious expedition-class yacht, inviting you to explore Indonesia’s most prized destinations in accordance with the seasons. Having recently undergone a lavish upgrade, her 15 individually-designed sea-facing suites – in three cabin categories – marry contemporary style with her rich heritage. Aqua Blu also features a sun deck, indoor lounge & bar, spa, gym and an outdoor jacuzzi.
Life On Board
From its elevated vantage point, the Sun Deck offers spectacular 360-degree views of Indonesia’s infinite seascapes, lush jungles and mountain scenery. The deck is equipped with a barbecue and outdoor seating with umbrellas and wraparound lounge sofas, making it the perfect spot for sunrise yoga, sunset cocktails or night stargazing. An enticing jacuzzi is flanked by plush daybeds for sunbathing, and there is also an on-board gym, and a spa where you can indulge in a Balinese massage administered by a resident therapist.
Relish refined Indonesian-inspired cuisine including the freshest seafood in the stylish dining room as well as convivial alfresco barbecues and relaxed outdoor meals. Guests can also now experience an exclusive vegan menu including a mushroom consommé with silken tofu appetizer, pumpkin and lentil tagine, and slow-cooked rendang jackfruit. At the end of the day, share stories of marine sightings in the Sky Lounge Bar, or read or watch a movie in the Library & TV Room.
Water-Sports
Aqua Blu carries a comprehensive selection of top-of-the-line, non-motorized water-sport equipment, including diving and snorkeling gear, kayaks, stand-up paddle-boards, and two high-powered tenders for sea excursions.
Luxurious Experience
Modern luxury meets naval heritage on the 198-foot Aqua Blu Yacht, her capacious spaces providing a wonderfully relaxed environment. Here, soothing palettes of grays and neutrals are accessorized with brass fixtures, stone tabletops, light wood finishes, original oak parquet floors and plush carpeting.
A sense of place is celebrated with antique etchings of the Spice Islands and vintage maps of eastern Indonesia, while customized plate-ware and porcelain is inspired by the sketches of Alfred Russel Wallace – the 19th century British naturalist and co-founder of the theory of evolution. Roomy bathrooms are provided with a generous array of amenities made with natural ingredients, as well as a reef-safe sunblock.
Safety & Comfort
Aqua Blu’s naval pedigree makes her a masterful vessel for navigating eastern Indonesia’s immense seas. With the highest international classifications (RINA, SOLAS, ISM) in safety, the vessel is equipped with Quantum Zero Speed stabilizers for optimal comfort.
Flexible & Exclusive Excursions
Unlocking access to Indonesia’s most intriguing destinations, and able to cover vast distances in a short span of time in any sea conditions, the Aqua Blu cruise will take you into the heart of the Coral Triangle, where you will encounter rare birds and wildlife, as well as unique cultures and age-old traditions on remote tropical islands.
Here you can embark on water-based excursions, led by on-board certified dive guides, to the most bio-diverse coral reefs on the planet, catering to both certified divers and leisure snorkelers.
With a below-surface environment reminiscent of a living kaleidoscope, and above-surface views among the most stunning that you are likely to behold in a lifetime, an expedition through Indonesian waters on Aqua Blu promises to be a truly rewarding and luxurious experience.
